Request or adopt a tree (or two...or more...)

Do you know a place in Greater New Orleans desperately in need of a tree or a grove or a thicket? Let me know, so we can plant trees where they're needed most.

I also need your help in caring for the trees we plant. Will you consider adopting a tree or a grove? Maybe your block or local neutral ground or the place where you walk your dog is crying out for some greenery. If we plant a tree there, will you agree to look after that tree for its first tender year? All that's required is a little watering and attention to ensure each tree thrives. You can even get together with neighbors to share the work and the fun, or how about getting your local neighborhood association members to take on a grove or thicket?

So, fill in the form below and let us know where we need to plant and whether you'll adopt a tree or two.

While I'm eager to hear where you want trees planted, I can't guarantee we'll be able to plant in the location you suggest, nor can I guarantee the type of tree you request. We'll be planting trees  on public thoroughfares, including nature strips (the section between the sidewalk and the street) as well as in front yards where tree planting will improve the community streetscape. For some areas, we'll need to get approval from the city before we can proceed, and we must also abide by city guidelines on the types of trees we plant.
